Program Coordinator

Vision Point Systems is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our growing program management team. This position will primarily provide operational, administrative, and programmatic support to Navy-sponsored programs executed by the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Carderock Division’s Dynamic Measurements and Testing Branch. The program coordinator will assist with program execution by assisting with coordination, documentation, scheduling, and reporting activities under the direction of senior program management staff and government counterparts. Strong candidates will have robust organizational and planning skills, familiar with government procurement and financial tracking, and are highly self-motivated and creative thinkers.

Duties include but are not limited to:

·       Assist government PM with procurement support such as writing procurement-required documentation, tracking and following up on procurement actions.

·       Create weekly budget reports and spend plans and monitor branch and contractor spending.

·       Assist government PM with qualification and certification support for technical programs.

·       Support preparation and maintenance of program documentation, including status reports, briefings, meeting minutes, and action item trackers. Includes tracking, inventorying, and other document management support.

·       Develop and maintain an asset tracking system.

·       General meeting scheduling and coordination assistance.

·       Communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary individuals and teams within the branch and department.

·       Other administrative and program support duties as assigned.

·       At least 1-2 years of program/project coordination or management experience.

·       Ability to work on multiple programs and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

·       Exposure to program management concepts or tools (e.g., schedules, trackers, budgets, action items).

·       Must be familiar with financial tracking such as budgets and spend plans.

·       Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

·       Must have strong organizational and planning skills.

·       Must be able to work independently and highly motivated.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

·       Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance. Requires US citizenship.

·       A high school diploma is required.

·       This role is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days a week commute to West Bethesda, MD.

Desired Skills

·       Current Secret level security clearance is a plus.

·       Basic understanding of government contracting or DoD environments.

·       Experience/understanding of metallurgy and/or shock testing is not required but it is a plus. 

·       Experience with DOD/US Navy financial and procurement systems and terms is not required but it is a plus.
