At Palm Beach Eye Center, we have an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Front Office Receptionist for our busy and growing ophthalmology practices. We have openings at both our Delray and Lake Worth locations!
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk position in ophthalmology, optometry, or medical practice. Our ideal candidate should be able to multi-task, be self-motivated, be patient-oriented, and be extremely dependable. We are looking for a candidate that can interact well with patients, doctors, managers, and co-workers.
Job responsibilities include:
- Greet and check-in in patients
- Scheduling appointments
- Collecting copays
- Balancing daily payment log
- Verifying medical and vision plan insurance benefits
- Obtaining referrals
- Prepping charts
- Scanning and filing medical records
- Answering Phones
- Maintain cleanliness of the lobby area
- Accurately process end-of-day payment and insurance reconciliation
- Must be well-organized and have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Have excellent computer skills
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
- Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule; demonstrate commitment to ongoing education and cumulative skill mix.
- Must uphold to the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality and other performance standards.
