Commercial HVACR Service Technician (Journeyman)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVACR Service Technician (Journeyman) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial service background and possess expertise in at least one of the following specialty areas: Refrigeration, Hydronics, or Specialty Equipment (such as Liebert, CaptiveAire, AAON, VRF, and similar systems). This position requires a highly skilled technician capable of independently diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning commercial HVACR systems while providing exceptional customer service.
Minimum Qualifications
- Journeyman-level HVACR technician.
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVACR service experience.
- Demonstrated experience in at least one of the following:
- Commercial Refrigeration
- Hydronic Systems
- Specialty Equipment (Liebert, CaptiveAire, AAON, Data Center Cooling, Energy Recovery Units, etc.)
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- EPA Universal Certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial HVACR systems.
- Service and repair equipment including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, refrigeration systems, hydronic systems, and specialty equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, controls, and refrigeration-related issues.
- Start up, commission, and verify proper operation of HVACR equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to customers and management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain service vehicle inventory and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Factory training or certifications on Liebert, CaptiveAire, AAON, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, or similar commercial equipment.
- Experience with building automation and controls systems.
- Experience working in mission-critical facilities, healthcare, industrial, or commercial environments.
- OSHA certification or safety training.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and access mechanical spaces.
- Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and perform physical labor for extended periods.

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
