This is a fully onsite position requiring an active Secret security clearance.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in systems administration, configuration management, cybersecurity compliance, and infrastructure support within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments in accordance with DoD standards and security policies.
- Perform configuration management activities including system baselining, version control, change tracking, and documentation management.
- Support system patching, updates, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening activities.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for infrastructure and enterprise applications.
- Maintain configuration management databases (CMDB) and ensure accurate inventory and asset tracking.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and system diagrams.
- Assist with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, STIG implementation, and compliance audits.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable system operations.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning activities.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and deployment initiatives.
- Active Secret Clearance (required prior to start).
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be substituted.
- 3 years of experience in Systems Administration and/or Configuration Management within a DoD or federal environment.
- Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools and processes.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, STIGs, RMF, and NIST compliance requirements.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Security CE, CISSP, Microsoft, Linux, or VMware certifications.
- Experience supporting U.S. Space Force, Air Force, or other DoD programs.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments.
