Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer to join a Fortune 5 healthcare organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who can design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) while mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform
- Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT workflows using Google Cloud Platform services
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Optimize performance, reliability, and cost of Google Cloud Platform data platforms
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and code reviews for the engineering team
- Support migration of on-prem or legacy systems to Google Cloud Platform
Required Qualifications
- 9 years of experience in data engineering, with strong leadership experience
- Hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong experience with BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience building large-scale, high-performance data pipelines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to convert to full-time employment after three months
