Description
Vision House Children's Village Child Care Center, is looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated team of early childhood educators. This position works cooperatively in implementing a planned curriculum, providing a nurturing environment and sound classroom management according to Children’s Village policy for the children enrolled in the program.

Rate and Benefits
- Starting Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour, DOE
- $500 hiring bonus upon completion of requirements

Position is Full-Time, 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday), located in Shoreline, WA.
As an Assistant Teacher you will:
- Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher to implement planned curriculum and maintain a nurturing environment for the children enrolled in the program.
- Assist in classroom management and ensure that Children’s Village policies are followed for safety and well-being.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and other staff members.
- Communicate any concerns regarding children or the program to the Lead Teacher in a timely manner.
- Maintain classroom supplies and equipment in coordination with the Lead Teacher.
- Participate in in-service training and team-building activities to support professional growth.
- Implement curriculum and lesson plans for individuals and assigned groups as directed by the Lead Teacher.
- Assist with maintaining accurate records for attendance, meal tracking, and other daily reports as required by state regulations.
- Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining health and safety standards, including guiding children in emergency drills and following classroom safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the childcare center.
Requirements
- Completed 30 hours STARS training within 90 days of hire or have educational exemption.
- ABILITY TO WORK LONGER DAYTIME HOURS DURING SCHOOL BREAKS AND HOLIDAYS.
- 1-year child care experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proof of negative TB test and MMR Vaccine.
- First Aid/CPR card within 90 days. (Can provide)
- HIV/Bloodborne Pathogen training within 90 days. (Can provide)
- Food Handler’s Permit within 90 days.
- Ability to drive a passenger van.
- Active Christian faith and ability to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as independently.
