We are currently seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Infusion to provide in-home infusion therapy to patients in the Courtland, VA area. This role is ideal for an RN who values autonomy, one-on-one patient care, and meaningful patient relationships, with the support of a responsive clinical team.
Duties
- Administer intravenous (IV) medications and fluids as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, assessing vital signs and overall condition.
- Educate patients and families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and home care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide support for family planning, pain management, and home community care initiatives.
- Assist in the management of durable medical equipment (DME) as needed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care standards.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Requirements
-Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in infusion therapy or related nursing fields is preferred.
- Proficient in taking vital signs and performing assessments related to infusion therapy.
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and ability to provide urgent care when necessary.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
