Duties:
A. Efficient in the electronic medical system used
B. Answer the phone
a. Shopper Conversion
b. General Knowledge of the office
c. Measurement and quality check of all the spectacles and frames that are received from the laboratory
d. Help the doctor in the process of hand off and assist the patient in choosing suitable eyewear
e. Keep an up to date inventory
f. Meet and greet patients
C. Equipment Usage
a. Lensometer
b. Pupilometer
c. Frame Adjusting Tools including salt pan/hot air blower
D. Optics/Spectacle Lenses Knowledge
a. Spectacle prescription (power, cylinder, etc.)
b. Types of vision requirements (myopia, etc.)
c. Types of spectacle lenses (bifocal, etc.)
d. Types of spectacle lens materials (CR-39, etc.)
e. Prism, pantoscopic tilt, etc.
f. Eyewear lens treatments (anti-reflective coating, etc.)
g. Patient Selection (what lens to use when)
E. Frames
a. Material (Zyl, metal, titanium, etc.)
b. Patient Selection (face shape, size, etc.)
c. Adjusting procedures/techniques
F. Measurements
a. Bifocal segment height
b. Progressive lens height
c. Optical Center
d. Measurements of frame
e. Diameter of lens
