What You'll Be Part Of

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and integrate electromechanical systems for medical devices
- Develop and troubleshoot digital circuitry, including PCB-level debugging and schematic review
- Lead and execute IEC 60601 compliance testing, including electrical safety, EMC, and related standards
- Support firmware integration and system-level debugging across hardware and software
- Produce production drawings and technical documentation for design verification and validation (DV&V)
- Design and run experiments; collect and analyze data to validate design decisions
- Build test protocols and validation plans in support of regulatory submissions
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and risk analysis
- Support prototype builds, system integration, and transition to manufacturing
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in electromechanical system design within a medical device environment
- Familiarity with IEC 60601 standards and compliance testing (electrical safety, EMC)
- Experience with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, or FDA regulatory processes
- Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer or equivalent
- Comfort with standard lab equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and production drawings
- Strong problem-solving instincts and the ability to work fluidly across electrical and mechanical domains
Bonus Points For
- Experience with optical systems, optoelectronics, or machine vision
- Background in 3D vision systems or surgical navigation
- Robotics or automation experience
- Familiarity with radiation hardening for electronics
- Experience scaling products from prototype to production
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles
