What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Viscot Medical,LLC?
SUMMARY: Performs various types of product packing and shipping in accordance with established procedures and/or commercial standards; receives and stocks incoming equipment, materials, and supplies and prepares shipments.
HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick product from inventory and process shipment as per sales order
- Generate shipping labels for UPS, FedEx and create Bill of Lading
- Perform inventory cycle count
- Put away finished products on the shelf
- Receive incoming goods as per OP Marks receiving procedures.
- Track shipments, as needed
- Assist in the loading of outgoing shipments as required
- Breakdown incoming shipment as required prior to QA inspection
- Perform other tasks as directed by Management
- Operate forklift as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 to 2 years related experience or equivalent.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Proficient on Microsoft Office and various shipping software such as UPS and FedEx.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Forklift certification or willingness to be trained to obtain certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
