Job Description:
We are a patient-focused optometry practice seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the doctor and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our patients.
The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment. No prior experience is required. We are happy to train someone who is motivated to learn and brings a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary testing (vision testing, imaging, etc.)
- Accurately document patient history and chief complaints
- Assist the optometrist during exams
- Educate patients on procedures and products
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient scheduling
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms
- Assist with contact lens training (if applicable)
- Support front desk duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in optometry, medical assisting, or customer service is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Basic computer skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor
