Community Services Employment Training (CSET) is seeking an experienced Food Service Manager to plan and oversee the activities and personnel of our food service operation at the Visalia Navigation Center. Working under the direction of the Navigation Center Director, you'll manage food purchasing, inventory, staff, and daily kitchen operations, ensuring every meal meets quality, safety, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct food service operations to ensure meals are prepared, portioned, and served according to standardized recipes and quality standards
• Oversee food purchasing, inventory control, and vendor invoice verification
• Supervise, train, and evaluate food service staff; set and monitor daily work schedules
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations
• Manage cost reports and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Collaborate on menu planning, including accommodations for dietary needs and preferences
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nutrition, foodservice systems management, or related field
• 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in dietary services, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior supervisory experience required
• Valid Class C California Driver's License required
