Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Conduct routine janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restocking supplies to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Carry out floor care tasks including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve the appearance and safety of flooring surfaces.
- Assist with general facilities maintenance such as repairing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, and reporting repair needs to management promptly.
- Support industrial cleaning projects when required, utilizing specialized equipment for large-scale or high-traffic areas.
- Provide residential painting touch-ups or minor repairs as needed to uphold facility aesthetics.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a secure work environment.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing is advantageous.
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
