Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery to join a supportive clinical team in a dynamic hospital environment. The Labor and Delivery RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to respond effectively in urgent situations, and a commitment to supporting families with compassion and professionalism throughout the childbirth experience.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and recovery.

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including emergency interventions.

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure safe, quality patient care.

• Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and newborn care.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of care provided.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

• California Registered Nurse License (upon hire).

• BLS certification - American Heart Association (upon hire).

• ACLS certification - American Heart Association (upon hire).

• NRP certification - American Academy of Pediatrics (upon hire).

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.

• Preferred: 1 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.

• Preferred: National Certification in specialty.
