We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Foster Care Case Manager Supervisor to lead our team in providing exceptional care and support to children and youth in foster care. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision
- Provide ongoing supervision, guidance, and support to Foster Care Case Managers.
- Conduct and document regular supervisory meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development activities.
- Ensure staff are performing within role expectations and agency standards.
- Carry a caseload when necessary.
Intake, Scheduling & Caseload Oversight
- Coordinate all foster care intakes and admissions.
- Assign and monitor caseloads to ensure appropriate coverage and compliance
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure coverage for court hearings, home visits, family contacts, utilization reviews, and meetings.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Review and monitor all required documentation for internal and external compliance, providing timely feedback and corrective guidance.
- Ensure documentation is completed within required timeframes.
- Assist with maintaining licensing standards and contract requirements in collaboration with the Tennessee Department of Children's Services (TN DCS) Contract Provider Manual, TN Department of Disability and Aging (DDA), and the Council on Accreditation (COA).
- Ensure all foster parent files are complete, accurate, and compliant.
Clinical & Program Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure high-quality, therapeutic care.
- Attend required clinical and staff meetings to maintain communication and alignment.
- Support Case Managers in maintaining focus on permanency planning and timely Child and Family Team Meetings.
- Facilitate referrals to internal staff, community providers, and subcontractors as needed.
Administrative & Leadership Duties
- Complete 90-day and annual staff evaluations.
- Document supervisory concerns, progress, and corrective actions as needed.
- Provide reports and communicate staff, program, and compliance concerns to the Virtue leadership team.
- Make emergency decisions in the absence of direct supervisors and notify leadership accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional and supervisory experience as a case manager or social worker in child welfare, foster care, or family services.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents involved in foster care or child welfare systems.
- Experience supporting children with mental health disorders and/or developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of child welfare laws, regulations, and best practices, including trauma‑informed care.
- Strong written documentation, assessment, and case review skills, including oversight of foster and adoptive home studies.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to change, work independently, and function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Comfortable with training, coaching, public speaking, and practices a growth mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in good standing
- Experience collaborating with mental health providers, developmental disability service agencies, courts, guardians ad litem, and child‑placing agencies
- Experience supervising or reviewing services for children with serious emotional disturbance (SED), intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD), or complex trauma histories
- Familiar with TN DCS, TN DDA, and COA requirements
