Role: Business Analyst
Location: Minneapolis MN
Duration: Long Term Contract - Onsite
Business Analyst - Contractor What you do: The Business Analyst role will be to assist the AIM Investment Systems team with a substantial new technology Aladdin system by Blackrock and enhancement implementation of our Azure Cloud solution. Currently the project is in the post implementation phase and will encompass strategic and process improvements across the front, middle and back office as it pertains to data, reporting and technology.
The position requires an experienced professional with deep knowledge of the needs of liability-based Insurance Portfolio Manager.
Our portfolio contains fixed income and broader asset classes to help design front office investment management processes and data rules, with the ultimate goal of producing high quality portfolio management reports.
Prior experience as a proven Business Analyst that utilized technology to enable digital solutions to increase efficiencies is a huge plus.
Business Application Expert: Working knowledge of key investment platforms (e.g. Aladdin, PAM).
Provide triage and resolution to various system and business issues and problems within a mission critical, fast paced environment. Provide expert guidance to IT, vendors and other business partners for systems enhancements (mappings, data integrations).
Establish relationships with business leaders in order to determine optimal solutions for complex business needs.
Support the implementation of reengineered and integrated business processes to meet the needs of internal clients.
Has considerable latitude for independent actions or decisions.
• Business Subject Matter Expert: Become a key resource for both the IT and Business stakeholders and Users to define and document business requirements.
Work with key stakeholders to make decisions and ensure they are aligned with Business Unit and Business System objectives.
Control and maintain documentation for system set- up.
Utilize strong analytical/research skills to debug issues as they arise. Develop and prepare technical data mappings for data warehouse projects.
• Project Management: Light project coordination by prioritization.
Learn and adapt to internal processes and manage multiple projects at once.
Support projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and within budget, which meet strategic and business requirements.
Provide effective communications that includes both internal and external stakeholders.
Facility the documentation of requirements, meetings, and reporting requirements including maintenance needs of the project for development and implementation.
What you bring:
• 6-7 years' experience required: Relevant technical and business work experience (Finance or investment systems knowledge)
• 6-7 years' experience
preferred:
Technical experience or support of: PAM investment accounting system, Blackrock Aladdin Systems, SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Four-year degree required: Finance, Business Administration or other related field, specialized training or equivalent work experience
• Advanced degree or CFA is a plus
