Role Overview
Virtual Synergy Solutions, LLC is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a mastery of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Information Assurance (IA) processes. The ideal candidate brings at least 10–15 years of verifiable experience in both technical instruction and curriculum development, specifically within Air Force Special Access Programs (AF SAP).
We are looking for a professional who can bridge the gap between complex regulatory requirements and actionable training, preparing the next generation of ISSOs and ISSMs to excel in high-security environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and refine comprehensive training materials that translate RMF, JSIG, and NIST SP 800-53 controls into clear, accessible, and actionable concepts.
- Technical Instruction: Lead high-level workshops and training sessions for junior ISSOs/ISSMs, focusing on real-world application, continuous monitoring, and mission readiness.
- Compliance Leadership: Ensure all instructional content aligns with the latest Department of the Air Force (DAF) directives and evolving cybersecurity standards.
- Advisory Support: Act as a primary SME for SAP environments, providing strategic guidance to ensure technical requirements meet operational execution.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Experience: 10–15 years of verifiable experience in cybersecurity compliance and instruction.
- Program Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience supporting Air Force Special Access Programs (AF SAP) is highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field (PhD is a plus).
- Certifications: Active CISSP or CISM certification.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) clearance is highly preferred; must be TS eligible.
- Vetting: Must pass a comprehensive background check and provide professional references.
