Location: Plainsboro, NJ (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Power BI Architect with strong Pharmaceutical domain experience to play a critical role in a strategic data and analytics project.
This person will be a key performer and technical leader on the project, responsible for driving Power BI architecture, analytics solutions, data visualization strategy, and technical delivery. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, highly collaborative, and capable of working closely with business and technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Architecture and Development
- Pharmaceutical domain experience is mandatory
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
- Experience designing enterprise-scale Power BI solutions and dashboards
- Strong knowledge of Azure data and analytics technologies
- Experience with SQL, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and data integration
- Expertise in Power BI performance optimization and governance
- Experience with Power BI security, Row-Level Security (RLS), deployment pipelines, and workspace management
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable BI solutions
- Strong understanding of data architecture, dimensional modeling, and reporting frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
Key Responsibilities
- Own and define the Power BI architecture and technical strategy for the project.
- Serve as a key technical performer and go-to Power BI expert for the team.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing Power BI reporting and analytics solutions.
- Develop complex dashboards, reports, semantic models, and analytical solutions.
- Partner with Pharma business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.
- Establish Power BI development standards, governance, security, and best practices.
- Optimize existing Power BI reports, datasets, DAX calculations, and data models.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects on data pipelines and enterprise data platforms.
- Provide technical leadership, code/design reviews, and guidance to other Power BI developers.
- Troubleshoot complex Power BI and data-related issues and drive them through resolution.
- Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
