What are the responsibilities and job description for the Virtual Foothills Technology Site Support Daytime position at Virtual Foothills?
Reports to: Regional Technology Coordinator, Site Director
Primary Location: Virtual Campus / Online
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
- Experiencing supporting educational technology preferred.
- Experience working to help people effectively use computers and networked equipment.
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and school community as a whole.
-This position requires availability from 11:00am – 4:00pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technology hardware and software support for students and teachers using computers to access the Foothills Regional High School online curriculum (Canvas and GradPoint) and online student information system (Infinite Campus).
- Provide software support for supplemental software that students may need, including but not limited to Kami, Google Meet, Gizmo, etc.
- Provide virtual training to end users on technology use focused on software and networking.
- Provide daily support to students and staff when having issues with their computers.
- Ensure students and staff have access to software.
- Maintain online meeting software for the Virtual Campus (Google Meet).
- Set up Google Meet rooms at appropriate times; train teachers to use Google Meet effectively.
- Monitor student testing as needed.
- Liaison with sites for hardware and networking support.
- Maintain inventory of computers and technology equipment assigned to the Virtual Site.
- Help students troubleshoot hardware concerns via phone and Google Meets. (Examples: cannot connect to wifi, cannot connect to printer, camera is not working, sound is not working, etc.)
- Deliver hardware to students/staff.
- Perform software upgrades.
- Clean and run diagnostics in-between cohorts.
- Repair computers when necessary.
- Meet the performance and behavioral expectations of the Site Director.
- Comply with all FERPA requirements for the virtual environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Director.
