What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Aide Adjunct Faculty---Academy (Part-Time) position at Virginia Western Community College?
Typical hours Mon, Wed, Fri 8 AM-12 Noon.
Virginia Western Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education operating under the Virginia Community College System, a statewide system of community colleges. The College operates under the policies established by the State Board for Community Colleges and the Virginia Western Community College Local Advisory Board.
Virginia Western, located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Roanoke Valley, is accepting applications for part-time, Adjunct Faculty for our Nurse Aide Program in the School of Health Professions. Adjuncts will teach dual enrolled high school students on the VWCC campus.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
A minimum of two years of related nursing occupational experience.
Previous teaching experience in a Practical Nursing Program, or other nursing program, and experience using instructional technology are desired.
Experience teaching in a college setting.
Occupational experience in acute care, long-term care, and/or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
Train-the-trainer certification preferred.
