Duties
- Assess athletes’ physical conditions through detailed evaluations of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics to identify injury risks or existing issues.
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that incorporate sports medicine principles, injury prevention strategies, and rehabilitation techniques.
- Provide hands-on care including taping, bracing, manual therapy, and modalities to support recovery and enhance performance.
- Educate athletes on proper nutrition, hydration, injury prevention practices, and body mechanics to optimize their health and athletic results.
- Conduct health coaching sessions focused on lifestyle improvements, fitness goals, and injury risk reduction.
- Monitor progress through regular assessments, adjusting treatment protocols as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain detailed documentation of treatments, progress notes, and injury reports in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Collaborate with coaches, physicians, personal trainers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive athlete care.
Qualifications
- Valid license as an Athletic Trainer issued by the appropriate licensing authority.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sports medicine practices, and medical terminology relevant to athletic health management.
- Experience in health coaching with the ability to motivate individuals toward healthier lifestyles.
- Familiarity with body mechanics principles and injury prevention techniques applicable to various sports disciplines.
