About the Role:

The Driver position is critical to ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across various locations within the United States. This role involves operating commercial vehicles such as dump trucks and box trucks to deliver materials efficiently while adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing routes, maintaining vehicle condition, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to support overall transportation management objectives. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate diverse routes using maps and GPS technology. Ultimately, the Driver plays a vital role in supporting warehousing operations and supply chain logistics by facilitating the smooth movement of goods from origin to destination.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
• Proven experience in truck driving with knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS navigation systems.
• Strong understanding of transportation management and warehousing processes.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass background and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating dump trucks and box trucks specifically.
• Familiarity with transportation management software and logistics platforms.
• Additional endorsements on CDL such as hazardous materials or tanker endorsements.
• Previous experience in a warehousing or supply chain environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle unexpected situations such as route changes or vehicle issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Operate commercial vehicles including dump trucks and box trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods to designated locations.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies to ensure safety and legal operation of vehicles.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes using maps and GPS to meet delivery schedules and reduce transit times.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel and transportation management teams to facilitate loading, unloading, and timely delivery of materials.
