The Branch Coordinator delivers exceptional service and support by managing daily activities in the warehouse and customer service departments, while also making deliveries to key accounts. The role typically involves 40% warehouse duties, 20% customer service, and 40% delivery tasks.
Essential Functions
- Remove inbound freight from carrier and check for shipping damage
- Operate forklift and order-picker
- Use bar code scanners to handle all materials
- Report and assist with resolving discrepancies discovered in receiving and shipping
- Select and remove material from stock in accordance with order picking list
- Prepare material for shipment consistent with customer's, trucker's, or driver's requirements and balance and mark pallets
- Fulfill responsibilities for maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse
- Restock warehouse according to company guidelines and practices
- Learn required product and packaging information
- Understand warehouse storage system and products
- Perform other related duties as assigned in the warehouse
- Assist with will-call counter, writing up orders, answering emails, taking payment, and any other related duties assigned within the customer service department
- Drive company truck to deliver materials to key accounts
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers
- Maintain delivery logs and reports
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance

- Physical stamina for loading/unloading materials and driving long distances
- Operating in compliance with all DOT regulations
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Be able to lift or remove up to 50 pounds
- Minimum of 2 years' warehouse experience, including experience operating a hi-lo, however we are willing to train the right person
- Stand up Reach Forklift experience is a plus
- Manual dexterity is required for operating machinery
- Prior experience with the general public (customers) is a plus
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Experience driving delivery trucks or similar vehicles is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
- This position is a full-time (40 hours per week) non-exempt position working during branch business hours, on-site.
