Job Description
The Tire Test Operator will assist Tire Test Engineers in the execution of customer tests on servo-hydraulic test equipment. Duties involve processing tests using computer interface, test preparation, test support, and equipment/facility installation, maintenance, and repair. The Tire Test Operator will interface with engineers and customers daily, support day-to-day laboratory operation, and follow and enforce all security and safety procedures. The Tire Test Operator role is viewed as a job which may include performing tasks of the Tire Test Engineer and or The Tire Test and Surface Technician periodically.
Position is located in Alton, VA. Unable to sponsor work Visas
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or significant combination of related experience, education, and training.
Strong computer skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills.
Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Full Time On-site Attendance Required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with servo-hydraulic equipment, heavy machinery, or other controlled equipment run through a computer interface.
Experience working in a laboratory environment with complex mechanical systems
including installation, maintenance, and repair.
