What are the responsibilities and job description for the Septic Technician position at Virginia Septic?
We are seeking a driven, hard-working person that is willing to work hard and get paid well. This is an entry level position or a position for a seasoned professional with plenty of room to grow. Training will be provided to make you an expert in the waste water industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wastewater System Operations: Assist in the operations of commercial wastewater treatment systems, ensuring systems function efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Real Estate Transfer Inspections and Safe Adequate and Proper Inspections: Conduct inspections of on-site wastewater systems for residential properties, providing essential services for real estate transactions and homeowners needing septic inspections.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on residential decentralized wastewater systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and operational data.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with homeowners and real estate professionals to provide information about system conditions and necessary actions.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the industry.
- Ability to handle heavy packages weighing up to 60 lbs. preferred
