We’re looking for a motivated and reliable Trades Technician who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in doing the job right. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work on a variety of tasks. In this role, you’ll work directly with tools, equipment, and materials to support installation, maintenance, and repair projects across a variety of trade disciplines. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating attention to detail, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills.

Classified: Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position is $41,720.00-$56,322.00. Salary will be commensurate with competencies and experience. The position is classified staff and as such is eligible for the benefits package offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia for state agencies. Telework

According to DHRM policy 1.61 Teleworking, effective July 5, 2022, Virginia state employees will return to the workplace.   • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Drivers license
  • Apprenticeship, certification, or license in a dedicated trade such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC

Travel as per any required duties of the position, such as to sites/campuses and any training. Ability to cover assignments throughout the college service region as necessary for the job is required.
