Position Summary
Reynolds Community College is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and secure enterprise server, endpoint, and cloud infrastructure across multiple campuses. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and securing Windows and Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and Microsoft 365 services in alignment with VCCS security standards. The position serves as a technical escalation resource and supports monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Administer, patch, secure, and monitor Windows and Linux servers
- Manage virtualization, storage, backup, and recovery systems
- Administer endpoint management platforms (MECM, Intune, Endpoint Central)
- Create and maintain workstation and laptop images and software deployments
- Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
- Support LAN/WAN and Meraki-managed network environments
- Respond to escalated incidents and participate in change management
- Maintain technical documentation and security compliance standards

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to define and develop solutions based on business requirements.
- Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, and Microsoft 365
- Experience with virtualization platforms and system monitoring tools
- Experience with Proxmox VE, Linux/UNIX administration, and backup systems
- Microsoft or security-related certifications
