CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
This position will work with a variety of complex HR topics. The recruitment and talent acquisition Analyst will provide guidance and assistance to college administrators and supervisors regarding the employment process. They will ensure compliance with EEO/AA, VCCS and DHRM requirements in the advertisement, screening, referral, selection and hiring of student, wage, faculty, and classified employees.
Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Typically, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited To
- Coordinates the college’s employment process for classified, administrative and professional faculty, teaching faculty, wage, and student positions.
- Develops ads in an easy-to-read format, and in accordance to VCCS and DHRM policy.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with college managers and supervisors to ensure facilitation of employment process.
- Prepares applicant pools and submits to committee within established timeframes.
- Establish and maintain communication with college managers and supervisors to ensure easy facilitation of screening process.
- Advises and resolves difficult recruitment issues promptly
- Interpret and provide effective guidance related to EEO guidelines and fair employment practices.
- Train Supervisors on the interview process as needed.
- Serves as the liaison for the V3 Virginia Values Veterans Program
- Serves as a Virginia Learning Center Administrator
- Conduct training sessions on various HR topics

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Significant experience and education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related area
- Knowledge of Excel is beneficial for this role.
- Working knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management with knowledge of employment practices, recruitment/selection, classification, compensation analysis, record retention/file maintenance, and customer service
- Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures, analyze data and present conclusions, and to review written documentation for adherence to policy and procedures
- Ability to independently provide guidance and direction to all levels of college staff regarding assigned HR work areas; prioritize and manage multiple tasks; and use sound judgment to resolve workplace issues.
- Working knowledge of federal and state laws related to human resources issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $59,000 - $65,000
