CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
This position provides general assistance with all areas of library operation as needed, especially circulation desk tasks and coverage,
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in library science and Virginia Professional Librarian Certification, or equivalent skills and work experience. Experience working in a library, providing information services to a diverse patronage. Experience teaching skills to others, demonstrated success working independently, with limited supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Google applications, and library applications
