Virginia Western Community College, located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Roanoke Valley, is accepting applications for part-time Project Management Instructors in the School of Career and Corporate Training (CCT), previously called Workforce Development. Project Management Instructors will teach students project management concepts and fundamentals and prepare students to successfully obtain a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
A current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Occupational experience in project management.
All Adjunct Faculty positions require excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to write syllabi and exams; ability to develop learning strategies, curriculum and assessments; as well as the ability to work with students of varying abilities from diverse backgrounds.
Additional Considerations
Experience teaching adult learners. Experience teaching PMP exam preparation courses.
