Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Fiscal Technician II serves as the staff member responsible for maintaining, updating and reconciling CCWA accounts. May work with CCWA grant program managers to ensure compliance with funding requirements and state and federal regulations. Assist the Business Manager with maintaining and updating CCWA financial system and performing a variety of fiscal-related duties in support of CCWA’s business services.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

- Knowledge and experience with accounting principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to research, investigate, analyze, reconcile, and evaluated financial data in compliance with applicable accounting directives and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in-depth financial reconciliations.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws, and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with automated financial systems and multiple funding sources.
- Proficient in the use of Excel and Word.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills.
- Post-secondary education in accounting or business administration or equivalent experience or training.
- Experience preparing journal entries.
