- Strong knowledge of principles in accounting and the ability to transfer the knowledge in relevant and meaningful ways to a diverse group of learners
- Ability to teach college-level accounting courses to include auditing, federal taxation, and cost accounting
- Ability to develop and adapt teaching and learning strategies to accommodate the diversity of community college students
- Ability to use formative and summative assessment measure to enhance student learning
- Experience with or ability to utilize proven teaching strategies that promote student success
- Ability to use or incorporate emerging technologies and alternative delivery methods to enhance classroom instruction
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and oral/written communication skills
- Available to teach a combination of day, evening, weekend, and online classes

KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting OR Master’s degree in a related field (Business, Finance, Taxation) with eighteen (18) graduate semester credits in accounting and a preference of a minimum of two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) related work experience OR Bachelor’s in Accounting, Business, or Finance with an active CPA license and a minimum of two years of full-time (or full-time equivalent) related work experience.
- A minimum of two years of full-time college-level teaching experience in the teaching field and/or related occupational experience
- Active CPA license or other industry certificates or credentials.
- Experience using instructional technologies and learning management systems (e.g. Blackboard or Canvas).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
- The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
- Experience teaching in higher education, online experience a plus.
