New Passenger Bus Service in Page County!!!
Virginia Regional Transit is seeking 2 Part Time Customer Service Representatives / Dispatchers who will provide support to Virginia Regional Transit and its other associated entities’ customers, passengers, and employees for new service beginning in October, 2026.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Duties include but not limited to:
· Process and direct all incoming phone calls with the highest level of customer service and professionalism
· Greet visitors in a friendly, professional manner and notify the appropriate administrative staff of arrival
· Possess a working knowledge of all routes in the service area
· Operate a multi-line phone system within an Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) system with accuracy
·Schedule and modify reservations in scheduling software for Demand Response customers and ADA Paratransit
· Generate and adjust routes for next day service for Demand Response and ADA routes utilizing the scheduling software
· Maintain Demand Response and ADA passenger files
· Support supervisors and management regarding bus, operator, and other agency related issues
.Count, record and deposit all fares received on a daily basis
.Record, document and organize all daily passenger trip sheets and fuel reports
.Submit various daily and monthly reports
· Provide Limited English Proficiency (LEP) support in Spanish or utilize an online/phone translator program
Education / Training: High school education is required with minimum of 3 years’ experience as customer service representative, scheduler, and/or dispatcher.
Post Conditional Offer Contingencies: Employment is contingent on satisfactory results of a background check, drug screening, driving record check and a valid driver’s license in the state of Virginia or nearby state of residence.
Rate of Pay: $18.00 / hr
