Job Responsibilities and Duties

Sales Consultations and Sales Process

  • Conduct professional in-home generator consultations and property evaluations.
  • Evaluate customer needs, fuel source, electrical needs, applicable code requirements, budget,

timeline, and installation considerations.

  • Educate homeowners on standby generator solutions, installation process, available financing

options, warranties, monitoring, and maintenance programs.

  • Build and present customized proposals using a consultative, value-based sales approach.
  • Present financing options accurately and follow all company-approved finance partner

guidelines.

  • Recommend appropriate add-on services and products where applicable.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales goals, revenue targets, gross margin expectations, close-rate expectations, referral goals, and other KPIs.

 

CRM, Pipeline, and Follow-Up Management

  • Manage assigned leads, opportunities, estimates, customer communication, and follow-up
  • activity within the company CRM system.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, including customer notes, proposal details, financing

status, follow-up dates, next steps, and projected close opportunities.

  • Work follow-ups consistently according to company cadence and keep open opportunities

current and accurate.

  • Report on pipeline activity and sales performance weekly and monthly.

 

Business Development and Team Coordination

  • Generate referrals and self-generated sales opportunities through proactive field activity and

relationship-building.

  • Participate in neighborhood canvassing, approved door hanger distribution, home shows, vendor

trainings, and marketing events as assigned.

  • Coordinate with sales support, installation, service, financing, and operations teams to ensure

accurate customer handoffs and a smooth customer experience.

  • Participate in sales meetings, trainings, coaching sessions, and ride-alongs as required.

 

Company Vehicle and Field Standards

  • Safely operate and maintain the assigned company vehicle in a clean, organized, and policy-

compliant manner.

  • Keep sales materials and presentation tools organized and ready for appointments.
  • Represent the company professionally through appearance, communication, punctuality,

preparedness, and respect for the customer’s home.

Qualifications

  • Previous outside sales, in-home sales, or consultative sales experience.
  • Experience selling residential services, home improvement, HVAC, electrical, generator,

construction, or other high-ticket in-home products preferred.

  • Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, organizational, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
  • Consumer financing experience and ability to follow finance partner guidelines and approval

processes.

  • Experience using CRM software and maintaining accurate customer documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in the field while following company processes and expectations.
  • Professional appearance and customer-first attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to safely operate and

maintain a company vehicle.

 

Working Conditions

  • Field-based sales position requiring regular travel to customer homes, in-home appointments, property

evaluations, neighborhood activity, use of a company vehicle, CRM software, phone and email

communication, proposal presentation tools, and occasional office meetings.

 

Other Duties

  • Provide feedback on customer trends, objections, financing questions, competitive activity, and

opportunities to improve sales effectiveness and value-based selling.

  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
