Position Summary

This position is responsible for supervising the Poult Moving Crew to ensure the safe and efficient loading/unloading process of moving birds from brooder to finisher farms. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

• Supervision of staff to include time sheet tracking, vacation scheduling, progressive discipline, making termination recommendations, interviewing applicants, safety awareness and training, and cross training.
• Ensuring that Biosecurity and Animal Welfare procedures are followed through the entire process, including the equipment washing 
• Ensuring the safest and most efficient process while paying great attention to minimize damage to birds. Ensuring that the proper head counts are on each trailer. 
• Coordinate other work including vaccination for staff when moving is not scheduled 
• Maintain good communication with growers during the moving process; correlate with Poult Scheduling Coordinator to meet company objectives 
• Ensure that cold weather protocol is followed when moving birds in inclement weather. 
• Must maintain an excellent attendance record
