Every instrument you prepare and reassurance you give will play a vital role in the success of each surgery and the comfort of every patient through life-changing treatments.
What You'll Do:
- Provide patient care with empathy before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeon with evaluations, surgeries, and post-op visits.
- Take digital x-rays and models.
- Document patient charts accurately during evaluations, surgical procedures, and post-op appointments.
- Prepare surgical trays, and evaluation and surgical rooms for procedures.
- Maintain sterilization of instruments, laboratories, and treatment rooms.
- Complete clinical and pharmacy logs according to practice standard.
What You'll Need:
- One (1) year of dental assisting or surgery technical experience required; oral and maxillofacial surgery experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of sterilization principles required.
- Understanding of HIPAA required.
- Radiology certification required.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Familiar with anatomy and medical and dental terminology pertaining to oral surgery.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What It Takes:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist with sedated patients.
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending.
