Virginia Military Institute is accepting applications for a full-time Store Clerk.
Primary responsibility:
Measuring and fitting of uniform items for all male cadets.
Other duties include providing customer service in the Military Store.
Executing sales & charge transactions
Maintaining ongoing inventory
Maintaining records as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to physically lift merchandise (up to 50lbs) to stock shelves and move inventory as needed, walking, climbing stairs and standing for long periods of time.
Knowledge of cash register/credit card operations, inventory procedures & basic mathematics.
Experience in MS Windows – Excel, Word, Access.
Customer service interaction
Additional Considerations:
Experience in MS Windows – Excel, Word, Access desired.
Must be able to work independently, self-motivated, customer- oriented, possess excellent communications skills & enjoy working in a team atmosphere.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid motor vehicle driver’s license required.
