Overview
We are seeking a lead to grow a construction division.
This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of construction operations, driving business growth, and ensuring project excellence from inception to completion.
We currently have a HVAC division that is running strong, the clients that we work for are in desperate need of construction help.
Obtaining work at first will be no issue.
We need someone that can perform the high quality work.
The ideal candidate is someone that has aspirations to run their own construction company but does not want the headache of obtaining licensing, insurance costs, startup costs, paperwork, etc.
Virginia Mechanical Services holds a Class A Contractors, HVAC Masters, Gas Fitting Masters, Plumbing Masters, Residential and Commercial Building licenses.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire construction division, including project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand business opportunities while maintaining operational excellence.
- Manage large-scale projects by coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Make improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce company waste.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients
- Eventually develop a high-performing team
Skills and Job Requirments
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction
- A clean driving record
- Proven management experience within the construction industry with a focus on operational oversight and team leadership.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
- Strategic thinker capable of long-term planning aligned with business growth objectives.
- Excellent managerial communication skills to effectively lead teams, negotiate contracts, and liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of lean management principles aimed at continuous process improvement within construction operations.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment focused on excellence.
- Strong leadership qualities coupled with operational expertise to guide teams through complex projects efficiently

Pay is negotiable.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
