Virginia iSpine Physicians is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our growing Front Desk Team at our beautiful, modern office conveniently located off Patterson Avenue near Route 288.
At Virginia iSpine Physicians, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of spine and musculoskeletal conditions. Our team is committed to providing exceptional patient care through compassion, professionalism, and collaboration. As the first face our patients see, our Patient Service Representatives play a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment patients walk through our doors.
What You'll Do
- Welcome and check in patients with professionalism and a friendly attitude.
- Deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced medical practice.
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using our electronic medical record system (AdvancedMD).
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain/update patient demographic and insurance information.
- Collect patient balances and process payments at the time of service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete detailed data entry.
- Assist with managing provider schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Support additional front office responsibilities, including medical records, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of medical front desk or medical receptionist experience required.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR); AdvancedMD experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Comfortable discussing financial responsibilities and collecting patient payments.
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred but not required.
