Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Lexington, VA, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Development Associate, you will provide vital support for the fundraising and donor engagement efforts of the Virginia Horse Center Foundation. Key responsibilities include conducting research on potential donors, supporting fundraising campaigns, managing donor databases, and coordinating fundraising events. You will also handle donor communication, draft proposals, and assist in the implementation of development strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage donors, collaborate with team members, and build relationships.
- Analytical and research skills to identify new funding opportunities and evaluate donor trends effectively.
- Experience in and knowledge of fundraising strategies, including donor relations and campaign planning.
- Proficiency in donor management software is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
