Position Summary
Virginia Green is currently seeking a paid Sales Support intern in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate is entering their junior or senior year and is a sales, communications, or marketing major/minor. The intern can expect to be involved in selling additional services and generating new customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collect accurate data via incoming calls/emails from potential customers for distribution to inside Sales Representatives in a timely manner.
- Verify that all data entered is accurate on each estimate and/or sale.
- Assist in customer retention/lead generation.
- Linking electronic documents to all leads/sold accounts. Including square footage and special instruction for each account daily.
- Identify lead opportunities utilizing Real Green (CRM), or any other lead generating source.
- Alert Production Department of any changes affecting current/upcoming lawn care services.
- Document changes to account for all leads/current customers pertaining to changes in contact information, changes in service, cancellations etc.
- Provides exceptional level of customer service and adhere to Virginia Green’s Sales Process.
Required Qualifications / Attributes
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
Education and Experience
- Must be a college student in good standing: Sales, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Communications majors preferred
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting
- Ability to use computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods
- Ability to lift approximately 15-20 lbs.
