Immediate opening for medical assistant full time. We are a well established and growing surgical practice searching for a motivated assistant to join our friendly work family! Ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedics or Podiatric foot/ankle practices; previous experience in medical assisting is recommended but not required.
Caring and compassion are key qualities to this high paced position. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing medical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Triage and document basic patient medical history
- Documenting in the EMR
- Dressing change and Wound care
- Pre / Post operative care.
- Applying casts
- Taking X-rays
- Cleaning and Stocking rooms
- Sterilizing instruments and preform quality checks
- Arrange hospital/laboratory services
- Assist during medical examinations/and in office procedures
Skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Bilingual recommended
