We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This is a full-time position!
The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting our physicians and providing high-quality care to our patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical setting, particularly in patient care and/or Primary Care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
- Administer vaccinations as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Maintain compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an inpatient or clinical setting is required.
- Knowledge of internal medicine practices and procedures is beneficial.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
We currently operate four office locations - two in the Tysons area, one in Fairfax, and one in Leesburg, VA. Flexibility to work amongst all our offices is important!
