What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Lab Technician position at Virginia Family Dentistry?
Virginia Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Lab Technician to join our team! At least 1-2 years of dental office or dental lab experience highly preferred. Pay is contingent on experience.
Hours are 8:00am- 5:00pm Monday-Friday.
The Dental Lab Technician plays a vital role in the field of dentistry by creating and repairing dental prosthetics, appliances, and restorations. This job involves a mix of artistic skill, precision, and technical expertise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Craft various dental prosthetics such as dentures, crowns, bridges, and veneers
- Use of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software to design and fabricate dental restorations with high precision
- Facilitate 3D printing
- Create accurate dental models
- Help other team members as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Dental Lab Assistants use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Repeat the same movements. Bend or twist their body. Stand for long periods of time. See details of objects that are less than a few feet away. Understand the speech of another person. Speak clearly so listeners can understand. Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm. Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects. Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls. Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects. Lift boxes of supplies.
