What are the responsibilities and job description for the CADC Extended-Care Teacher position at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts?
Extended-Care Teacher
Each camp session will have one Extended-Care Teacher who provides extended supervision to students during and after regular pick-up. Extended-Care Teachers are Art Education students with experience managing groups of students. They are to communicate with the Program Directors on their classroom expectations and how to engage with students. At the end of each week, Extended-Care Teachers are responsible for restoring CADC classrooms and workspaces to their original state. Extended-Care Teacher are Tier 2 individuals (see Compliance Training).

Minimum Qualifications
- Actively pursuing or recently obtained K-12 Art Education licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
- In VCU’s Art Education program or recent graduate (within two years) of an Art Education program with licensure.
- Local to Richmond Area.
