Role Description
This is a full-time, long term substitute teacher role in the Kindergarten classroom. The Kindergarten Teacher, along with their co-teacher, will design and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s progressive education philosophy, fostering both academic and social-emotional growth for students. Responsibilities include guiding hands-on projects, integrating outdoor learning into the curriculum, assessing student progress, and creating a nurturing classroom environment. Teachers collaborate closely with a co-lead educator to develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction.
Qualifications
- Experience in Lesson Planning, Teaching, and Education
- Strong Communication and Training abilities
- Passion for Progressive Education principles and hands-on, collaborative teaching methods
- Ability to integrate outdoor and social-emotional learning into the curriculum
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or related field required; relevant teaching certifications preferred
- Experience in an independent or progressive school environment is a plus
