What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Sonographer/Echo Tech position at Virginia Cardiovascular Specialists?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Performing echocardiograms and stress echos.
- Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Skill in assuming responsibility for safety factors.
- Use of ultrasound equipment, and computers.
- Ability to work in a cooperative nature in the department with staff, patients and families.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
- Ability to work in other locations as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned
