We are seeking caring, flexible, and dependable substitute teachers to provide classroom coverage in the absence of regular faculty for both short-term and long-term positions. The ideal candidate is someone who resonates with Quaker values, enjoys working with children, and can maintain a calm, respectful classroom environment while delivering lesson plans prepared by the regular teacher.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support instructional plans provided by the classroom teacher.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
- Engage students in meaningful learning activities.
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and during lunch/recess as needed.
- Communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Uphold the school’s values in classroom management and student interactions.
- Follow school protocols and procedures, including attendance and safety policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Education or related field preferred).
- Experience teaching or working with children, preferably in an educational setting is a requirement.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
