This position will be responsible for administering enforcement systems, implementing and managing technology procurement and implementation projects, producing and managing of user guidance and training throughout the Bureau.

Areas of Responsibility:
As the CORE/CMS/VAL Administrator, responsibilities include for the configuration, operation, and maintenance of the legacy licensing system called “Computer Organized Records Environment” (CORE), our in-house Case Management System (CMS) “Virginia ABC Licensing” (VAL) and the third-party Interact Records Management System (RMS). The Information Administration Specialist will also act as top tier support for end users and interface with third-party vendors for escalation of trouble tickets. Other responsibilities include acting as the liaison to Information Technology Services Division for projects related to application development, infrastructure (VCIN, Video Surveillance Server), procurement and integration of new technology (Smart Devices, COTS applications) and management of enforcement’s communications portal (SharePoint).
As the Surveillance Technology Advisor, responsibilities include the configuration, and maintenance of the Law Enforcement surveillance technology based equipment. Will also act as technical advisor for many of the systems which track, grant access, and provide end user access to covert video surveillance, audio surveillance, and location tracking devices and will provide subject matter expertise and training to regional surveillance technicians on the use of various surveillance technologies.
Qualifications:
General knowledge of database structure and organization, Intermediate knowledge of PL/SQL, experience with report building using enterprise tools and/or Jasper reporting, experience with various covert video, covert audio, and location tracking devices, basic TCP/IP networking design and configuration experience, experience with electronics troubleshooting, and pen register system (Sytech or Penlink).

- Experience as a records management or case management system administrator in a law enforcement organization.
- Experience with Police records management systems.
- General knowledge of database structure and organization.

- Strong business acumen, strategic thinker, excellent presentation and communication skills, familiarity with analyzing and documenting process flows.
