If you have an eye for detail, cleanliness, and are passionate about leading a team, then this job is for you. You will be responsible for maintaining Virgin Hotel’s high standards of cleanliness in supervising the cleaning of guest rooms. You will also be required to communicate, coordinate and work well with other teammates, managers and guests. Even more so, we expect you to be aware of your surroundings and notice/anticipate guest needs in order to engage the guest to let them know that you are there to take care of them with your genuine and “go the extra mile” service. You can also do this by training the room attendants and everyone else in your team as much as possible. Your teamwork and willingness to help others will be on display as you help your fellow teammates and room attendants in inspecting and at times cleaning the rooms. Most of all, we want you to have FUN since you play a huge role in creating that memorable guest experience!

What exactly you will be doing…
In helping you understand your role in working for a progressive, environment conscious, world class organization, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your supervisors/managers not listed below in the constant quest to provide “out of this world” customer service experience for our guests:
- Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge
- Coordinates with bar staff to ensure the availability of all beverages
- Provide service for tables and floor area
- Stock and organize inventory at server stations
- Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
- Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized work environment including stocking of supplies, polishing cutlery/glassware, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, etc.
- Clear tables, carry plates to dishwashing area
- Execute fabulous guest service
- Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
- Enthusiastically describe details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests
- Be a team player!
What qualities are we looking for?
You got skills? If you are able to perform the following, then you have definitely come to the right place…
- Lift and carry 30 lbs, carry and balance plates, cocktail tray on a regular and frequent basis
- Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
- Working late nights and early mornings hours
- Work with others like a rock star, while constantly advocating for your guests
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
- Comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as, all state and federal laws
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards
- Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization and other duties
Background must-have
- Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in The United States
- 4-5 years of experience in a full-service hospitality establishment preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
